Our story

Backyard Byrd, LLC was established in 2020 during the start of the global pandemic. Both Stephen and I were sent home from our jobs with no understanding of what the future looked like. I was blessed to be able to shift to remote work, but with Stephen working in facilities at a local college, we found ourselves unsure of what the future looked like for his employment. We started mowing lawns to create a backup plan for our family. As our business started to bloom and grow, it became a constant reminder that God takes all things and can use them for good. Out of a very dark time in the world, we got to witness a newness born through our business.

Fast-forward to today- we have been operating for 4 years now. Our business focuses on creating a positive impact in our community through providing quality and affordability while loving on and supporting our neighbors. We live and work in Howard County so the quality service provided to your lawn impacts the beauty of our community. We take pride in our work and how we serve our customers.

Our business has become a family affair. We have been blessed to continue our mission while raising our kids in the midst of working hard and growing our legacy. The greatest way to impact our kids is through setting positive examples. We strive to do this daily through serving our community.
